CARE Program Seeks To Fill Lead Volunteer PositionOriginal Release: 6/11/2018 The CARE Program is a collaborative project among the cities of Cleveland Heights, Highland Heights, Lyndhurst, Maple Heights, Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, Solon and South Euclid. The goal of the program is to help the older adults in these eight communities stay safe and independent in their homes for as long as possible. This will be accomplished through the coordination and completion of services in and around the home including minor home repairs, organizational tasks, and seasonal and cleaning based tasks that support aging in place. Position Title: CARE Program Lead Volunteer Position Description: The Lead Volunteer is an unpaid position that will work with the CARE Program Coordinator and staff in order to assist with volunteer preparation and project coordination. Applicants should have a passion for working with older adults and be able to work well as a member of a team. * Position will include a background check. Qualifications:

Start Date: ASAP More Information: Contact Eric for more info at (216) 970-0599 ☎ or mclellane@communitypartnershiponaging.org ✉ Background: CARE (Communities Assisting Residential Elders) received the Cuyahoga County Department of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) Senior Center Innovation Grant to launch a new program in 2017. A collaborative effort of representatives from Cleveland Heights, Maple Heights, Solon and the CPA communities of Highland Heights, Lyndhurst, Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, and South Euclid has led to the development of the CARE Program. The program is designed to improve the safety of older adult residents from the eight aforementioned communities by providing access to home maintenance services both inside and outside the home, minor home repairs, as well as home safety guidance. The collaborative was selected as one of the two innovative collaboratives awarded a second round of funding through the Senior Center Innovation Grant by the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services through the Health & Human Services Levy, which provided the initial planning funds. Residents of the eight participating communities are able to apply for membership in this program which emphasizes safety and independence for older adults within their home.
