About:
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.
- 3 out of 4 heroin addicts started with prescription opioids.
- People addicted to prescription pain killers are 40x more likely to be heroin addicts.
- Many of these people become desperate and go looking for pain killers in their family and friends’ homes.
It is so important to keep these drugs out of the hands of children and teens, to prevent anything from happening.
The safest thing we can all do is remove unused, expired medicines from your medicine cabinet.
Inquiries can also be made at 1-800-882-9539.
