How To Properly Dispose Of Rechargeable Batteries Or Unusable Cell Phones
Original Release: 5/3/2017

The Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District has announced that they will no longer be accepting Rechargeable or Unusable Cell phones with batteries.
Here are some options:
- You can drop off a usable cell phone that you no longer want to the Lyndhurst Community Center. These cell phones are recycled and proceeds are donated to help fund cancer research.
- You can drop off rechargeable batteries or non-working cell phones with batteries to your local Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/) or Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/) locations to be recycled.
- You can visit the website http://www.calltorecycle.org/locator to find other locations that handle battery recycling or disposal.
Please, do not put rechargeable batteries into your trash or recycling containers, as there is a serious hazard of both fire and/or employee injury.
Thank you!
