From The Service Department Released: 9/30/2009 Print   Close   The City of Lyndhurst will be implementing automated rubbish collection in mid November.   Each home will be issued a 96 gallon cart for refuse. The new carts will hold the equivalent of three normal size trash cans or six large bags.   If you find that your household is producing more rubbish than the cart can handle, you will be able to purchase an additional cart in the near future. The carts are the same style as the current recycling carts.   Senior citizens or those that do not need the larger 96 gallon cart will have the option of receiving a 64 gallon cart to be more manageable and meet there needs. If your household will only need the smaller cart please contact the Service Department at (440) 473-5100 to schedule delivery during distribution in mid November.   More detailed information will be mailed out in the near future regarding this program.
