What is the Lyndhurst Garden Club?
The Lyndhurst Garden Club was founded in June 1937. We meet at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday of every month, (except January, July, and August) at the Lyndhurst Community Center. Guests and prospective members are invited to our meeting on June 3, 2010 when Master Gardener Mary Jo Minello is scheduled to present "Bits and Pieces of Herbs".
What does the Garden Club do?
We honor the Past. We tend the gardens at the Little Red Schoolhouse which was built in 1856 and is located behind the Board of Education building.
We support the Present. Through community service activities, educational programs, and civic financial donations.
We support the future. By supporting organizations like Ohio State Land Trust, Seeds of Friendship, Ronald McDonald House, and providing a scholarship to a Horticultural student.
We have fun! We recently attended "Garden Club of Northeast Ohio Night" sponsored by the Lake County Captains baseball team.
Mark your calendars now for our "White Elephant Sale" on October 1st and 2nd. Come and grow with us!
