I would like to thank the residents who represent Ward 2 for retaining me to my council seat. It is an honor and privilege to be able to give back to the community that I love.
I have lived in Lyndhurst for over 25 years. My family has lived in our community for 50 years starting with my grandparents Joseph and Mary Compola. My grandfather Joe Compola started Tasty Pizza, a local Mayfield Road business in 1958. Tasty's is now a second-generation family business run by my stepfather and mother Joe and Jackie Woytovich. Politics and government have always been in our family! In fact my grandfather previously served on Lyndhurst City Council for 6 years and he was the person that inspired me to get involved in our community.
I am a graduate of John Carroll University (1986) with a BA in Communications.
Many of you know me from my work with the Diabetes Association and American Cancer Society fundraisers over the years.
I purchased a home 14 years ago on Gordon Road- the same street I grew up on.
During my time on Council it has been apparent that Lyndhurst residents desire high quality, timely, delivered city services and low taxation. I believe my business knowledge and experience will be an added attribute to a City Council that works very well with itself to deliver these goals. This is a cohesive group that works well with one another and tries to do what is in the best interest of all our residents.
Working together with my council colleagues I will do my best to make your will public policy in Lyndhurst.
If you have any questions, ideas, or comments on any aspect of Lyndhurst city government, please feel free to call me at (440) 446-1955 or email me at email@example.com
Thank you again for this opportunity and I look forward to serving you!
Lane A. Schlessel
Home: (440) 449-2416
Address: 1927 Bromton Drive, Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124
I am excited and eager to serve as Vice-Mayor for 2007.
For the past 22 years I have been employed by B'nai B'rith/B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO Inc). I am presently serving as the National Director of Program Enrichment, responsible for working with communities throughout North America in the areas of community service and outreach.
My wife Marla (Lockman) has been a resident of Lyndhurst for over 35 years (Brush Class of 77) and we have 3 children Ethan Hirsh (Brush Class of 01 and American University 04), Adam Hirsh (Brush Class of 05) and Shawn Schlessel, as well as two dogs Brook and Sandy.
During the campaign as I walked door to door, I listened very carefully to what you the residents had to say about our community. Now as your representative to city council I hope to bring your message to the other leaders of our great city. As the founding director of the Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) program, I had a first hand opportunity to work with a group of volunteers that were and are ready, willing and able to assist residents throughout our city. Programs that focus on the neighbors and give to those in need is what Lyndhurst should be about and will be a focus of my term as Ward 3 Councilman.
Please don't hesitate to contact me to share your thoughts, concerns and compliments over the next 4 years and together we can make Lyndhurst a great place to live, work, raise children and retire.
Patrick A. Ward
Home: (440) 646-WARD (9273)
Address: 5140 Meadow Wood Boulevard, Lyndhurst, OH 44124
Returning to City Council in 2006, after a four year break, Patrick A. Ward is eager to bring his twelve years' experience back to the issues facing Ward 4 and our community.
With two new housing projects in the works - Rivercreek and Acacia Country Club Estates as well as the newly completed Bristol Courts, the potential for added development on the former TRW World Headquarters property - now owned by the Cleveland Clinic, the building expansion at Julie Billiart School and the Lincoln Hall expansion at Hawken School there is no shortage of projects to address in the southern quarter of the Ward. Add to that the issues of property maintenance which exist on nearly every street much work lies ahead.
Patrick will be chairing City Council's Finance Committee this year and is excited about the prospect of working with the six other members of Council and Mayor Cicero's Administration. "I believe that we have a group of people who are focused across the board on what is best for our city" Ward said. "We certainly have challenges in bringing our expenses in line with our current income, but I know we are all at least looking in the same direction now so the work should be easier."
Please feel free to contact Patrick at (440) 646-9273 at home or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.

While our great city faces many ongoing challenges, my focus for this year is to provide leadership for unity between each member of council. Unity, in the sense that each council member will be united in putting the welfare of the residents first. Laying a foundation that facilitates trust, communication, consensus and compromise. When best interests of our residents will govern our decision making, we will be able to reach a solution and accomplish many great things. While we, on council, are known for the words we speak, we also love to listen.
Please call or E-Mail me anytime with your comments.
My wife Lisa and I have resided in Lyndhurst since 1994 and have 4 children; Joseph Jr. (Brush 2006), Robert (2008) Karalyn and Cody along with our Cocker Spaniel/Bichon Chloe.
I am currently employed as a Sale Representative/ Consultant for Moving Solutions, Inc. in Mentor, Ohio. I have attended both the University of Akron and Cleveland State University, earning a BBA and majoring in marketing.
In the past I have served on the Lyndhurst Dads' Club as well as committees on the PTA for the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools. Currently, I serve as co-chair of the Lyndhurst Homedays Committee, surely one of the most rewarding positions and an event I look forward to every year. Lisa and I also help coordinate the Pre-Cana program at our church, Saint Clare.
When not attending to commitments to my community I also enjoy coaching baseball and cooking. Throughout the months of June and July I travel around the Midwest with my 16 and under Seacrist Blue Thunder baseball team. I will also take time out to relax and enjoy the time at the dinner table with my family. I will put my Chicken Paprikas up against anybodys!
