Public Records Policy - City of Lyndhurst, Ohio
Public Records Policy:
  • Records will be organized & maintained so that they are readily available for inspection & copying.

  • Any and all requests should be forwarded to the municipal records commission 149.39 ORC.

  • No specific language is required to make a request, the requestor must identify the records requested with sufficient clarity to allow the public office to properly identify, retrieve, and review records.

  • Each request should be evaluated for an estimated length of time required to gather the records. There is no charge for viewing the public records.

  • Any denial of public records requested must include explanation & legal authority.

  • All public records requests are submitted to the Law Director for review before release.

What Constitutes a Public Record:
Public Records are any documents, electronic, e-mail, or paper that relate to the business or activity of the office.
Records are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM through 4:00 PM.
→ Black & White Copies: .05 cents per page.
→ Double Sided Copies: .10 cents per page.
