Media Release:

Our regional drug enforcement unit and SWAT team, and federal law enforcement partners executed a search warrant this morning at a unit in the Colony House Apartments. A quantity of suspected heroin/fentanyl mix, the type of drug largely responsible for the fatal and non-fatal overdoses in the opiate epidemic, was located. Several firearms, including the one pictured, were present and illustrate the potential violence associated with drug trafficking, and the dangers law enforcement officers face when conducting these operations.

An adult male and an adult female were arrested and face several felony charges. Related enforcement operations were simultaneously conducted in other areas of Greater Cleveland.

The Lyndhurst Police Department works closely with our local, state, county and federal law enforcement partners to keep our community free of drug traffickers.

Firearm.
