Attention City of Lyndhurst, Ohio Flood Victims - A Note From The Mayor

Dear Neighbors,

This past weekend (June 26th through June 28th 2015) has proven to be one of the wettest in recent history.

For some of you this may have caused flooding in your basements, and I want you to know that I fully realize the hardship this has been for many of you.

For those of you that experienced flooding, please call the Service Department at (440) 473-5100.

The Service Department can schedule a crew to come out and check the sewer laterals at your home. If necessary, they will also jet and camera the main line.

Over the years the city has done a great deal of work to alleviate any flooding issues within the City.

The rainfall from the storms this past weekend dropped between 2 and 3 inches of rain in less than 36 hours, and unfortunately this type of storm will overwhelm even the best drainage systems.

Joseph M. Cicero, Jr.
Mayor, City of Lyndhurst, Ohio
