AARP Tax Program:
Community Partnership on Aging is fortunate each year to partner with the AARP Tax Program in order to provide tax returns to older adult residents. This free service is available by appointment only and limited to simple, ordinary, personal tax returns. We are pleased to announce that the AARP tax program will now file returns for legally married same sex couples. This year, only copies of the e-file returns will be provided. Residents age 60 and over wishing to schedule an appointment may call 216-291-3902.
The tax program has undergone several significant changes this year as a result of the partnership between AARP and IRS. Please note the following:

Do you need some basic computer instruction or intermediate help? Do you want to learn how to send an email or surf the internet? Volunteers from our organization can spend one or two sessions working with you in your home. This service has been very popular with older adults throughout our five-city area for several years.
Spring Yard Cleanup Project:
It's almost time for our annual spring yard cleanup project. As part of this free service (based on financial need), volunteers can conduct raking and litter pickup on a one-time only basis. In addition, if you would like to volunteer as a group or individual to assist older adults with this project, your help would be sincerely appreciated.
For more information on either opportunity, please call Corinne Dunn, Volunteer Coordinator, at 216-291-3902, ext. 213.
