Live Ice Carving Demonstrations Saturday, January 30th.

The perfect solution for cabin fever - head to Legacy Village on Saturday, January 30 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and watch as simple blocks of ice are transformed into shimmering frozen sculptures. The annual ice carving demonstration event will feature the talents of professional ice sculptors from Elegant Ice Creations.

Visitors to Legacy Village will be treated to live hourly demonstrations on the stage between California Pizza Kitchen and Bar Louie, at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. The finished sculptures will remain on display throughout the evening.

Children are invited to have their photos taken free of charge (while supplies last) with a special dinosaur – sculpted entirely out of ice. Youngsters also can enjoy making their own snow people on the lawn – complete with a selection of snowman “trimmings” supplied by Legacy Village (weather permitting).

Elegant Ice Creations is led by founder Aaron Costic, the 1998 & 2001 National Ice Carving Champion, the 1998 Winter Olympic Bronze Medalist for Ice Carving and the 2006 Winter Olympic Gold Medalist for Ice Carving.
