CERT / TRAINING: Print Close
2010 Ongoing CERT training for current members will be held on the following Saturdays:1.) April 17th Training sessions will be held at the Lyndhurst Community Center and will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Snacks will be provided. 2010 Tentative dates for training of NEW CERT Members are as follows: (Minimum of 15 confirmed participants required for class to be held.) To be posted. Training sessions will be held at the Lyndhurst Community Center and will take place from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Agenda: Week One: Welcome, Introduction, Unit 1 - Disaster Preparedness, Unit 7 - Disaster Psychology Week Two: Units 3 & 4 - Medical Operations Week Three: Unit 8 - Terrorism, Unit 2 - Fire Safety and Suppression, Unit 6 - CERT Team Organization Week Four: Unit 5 - Search and Rescue, Unit 9 - Review with Simulated Disaster, Graduation Please see the CERT Calendar for details regarding training sessions. FEMA Provides Additional FREE Training Opportunities They are available to all US citizens and many take just a couple of hours to complete (can however be done in more than one sitting).
