Dear Neighbors:

As many of you are aware the City of Lyndhurst utilizes an automated system that makes calls to you for the purpose of informing you of upcoming events, emergencies, and other important communications. This system, called City Watch, was implemented on Monday, May 3, 2010 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Unfortunately, there was a glitch in the computer system and many of you may have received a phone call after midnight on May 4th. If you are among these residents that received this late night call, I would like to personally apologize to you for the inconvenience.

Our intention here at City Hall is to provide you with services that enhance and optimize your life, not services that aggravate or annoy you. I have suspended the use of the City Watch System until a full diagnostic can be run on the system and we are assured that a late night call will not occur again.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for this inconvenience.

Respectfully,

Joseph M. Cicero, Jr.
Mayor
City of Lyndhurst, Ohio
