Monday, March 31st 2008: Domestic Violence Center Information.On March 31, 2008, Tim Boehnlein, Director of Community Projects for the Domestic Violence Center, will discuss the problem of Domestic Violence and will relate how the Domestic Violence Center is helping women and their families.
The Hillcrest Women’s Club/GFWC has been a strong supporter of the Domestic Violence Center with annual donations of goods and money. For instance, the price of admission for our Annual Craft Auction is a donation of warm hats, gloves or scarves, which are then donated to the residents of the Center.
In November 2007, we delivered 143 sets of gloves, scarves and hats donated by our members and guests! We welcome all who would like to learn more about the problem and some ways to help.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM at the Lyndhurst Community Center. After the speaker, there will be refreshments and the club’s business meeting.
Monday, April 28th 2008: A "virtual" trip to the OFWC Convention.
