The Lyndhurst Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) had a successful showing at the 2007 Home Days festival. Part of our mission is to help educate the community during non-emergency times.

In 2008, look for us to make ourselves more visible to you and your organizations. We will partner with the Fire Department on educational and social events as well as hold our own educational training—open to the public—each quarter beginning in January 2008.

Be sure to keep an eye on the CERT Section of the Lyndhurst City Website, for dates, locations, and topics. Some ideas for training will be with The Illuminating Company, Dominion East Ohio Gas and even our very own Lyndhurst Fire Department. We can make a special presentation to your group or organization to help you learn more about us and our role within our community.

You should be proud that your CERT’s accomplishments have already made us a recognized force in Cuyahoga County during our first year of existence!

Be on the lookout for CERT members in our community in the upcoming months. We cannot be missed with our green helmets and yellow vests. If you’d like to learn more, visit our Web site or contact us at cert@lyndhurst-oh.com.
