If a tornado ripped through Lyndhurst or a neighboring community, what would you do? What if another power outage hit our city as it did on August 14, 2003? Or, did you ever wonder if you could help your fellow citizens during or after a major thunderstorm hit the area? If these questions are on your mind, welcome to the world of CERT.

As you get your kids ready to go back to school or think about preparing your home for the fall and winter months, your Community Emergency Response Team is continually training to make sure that we’re ready to help you.

If you’re interested in more information about CERT, our training, or our team, stop by our booth at Lyndhurst Home Days. Our team members will be there to answer your questions, help educate you on home safety, and tell you more about us.

Also, keep your eye on the Lyndhurst Website for CERT updates. Our section of the city’s site is taking on a new look, including a calendar of events, the history of CERT, our mission statement, and more.

See you at Home Days!
