Hydrant Flushing: The City of Lyndhurst will be conducting fire hydrant testing and flushing during the month of May. This testing is required by the Insurance Safety Office and in necessary to ensure public safety. The City of Lyndhurst has discovered the presence of the highly destructive insect known as the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). The Emerald Ash Borer is a small, metallic green, non-native invasive pest whose larvae feast on the trunks of ash trees, ultimately disrupting their ability to transport nutrients and causing the tree's eventual decline and death. CERT Spring Ongoing Training Well Attended

Lyndhurst CERT held its spring ongoing training session on Saturday April 21rst. At that meeting a Call Out review was held after our team was activated to assist primary responders at the Sherrie Park Apartment fire. The gas leak and subsequent fire extensively damaged one building. As much as $10,000,000 dollars of damage was done.
