Home: (216) 381-7884Address: 4840 Hartley Drive, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 E-Mail: freyd@lyndhurst-oh.com David Frey is excited to be serving in his first term as Councilman in Ward 1. David has been a Lyndhurst resident for over 14 years and resides on Hartley Drive with his wife Anne and three daughters Abbey, Shannon and Elizabeth. David graduated from Gilmour Academy in 1982 and went on to get an engineering degree from the University of Dayton, graduating in 1986. David's community involvement includes organizing the Lyndhurst Home Days parade, coaching softball for the Lyndhurst Dad's club and volunteering with the Neighbor to Neighbor community service project. "Lyndhurst is a great community, I look forward to being more involved with our residents and working collaboratively with my fellow Councilman to develop solutions that will have a positive impact on our community and the greatest benefit to our residents". I look forward to hearing from you and can be reached by phone at (216) 381-7884 or by email at freyd@lyndhurst-oh.com. Joseph Gambatese, Ward 2:
Home: (440) 446-1955Address: 1355 Gordon Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 E-Mail: gambatesej@lyndhurst-oh.com I would like to thank the residents who represent Ward 2 for retaining me to my council seat. It is an honor and privilege to be able to give back to the community that I love. I have lived in Lyndhurst for over 25 years. My family has lived in our community for 50 years starting with my grandparents Joseph and Mary Compola. My grandfather Joe Compola started Tasty Pizza, a local Mayfield Road business in 1958. Tasty's is now a second-generation family business run by my stepfather and mother Joe and Jackie Woytovich. Politics and government have always been in our family! In fact my grandfather previously served on Lyndhurst City Council for 6 years and he was the person that inspired me to get involved in our community. I am a graduate of John Carroll University (1986) with a BA in Communications. Many of you know me from my work with the Diabetes Association and American Cancer Society fundraisers over the years. I purchased a home 14 years ago on Gordon Road- the same street I grew up on. During my time on Council it has been apparent that Lyndhurst residents desire high quality, timely, delivered city services and low taxation. I believe my business knowledge and experience will be an added attribute to a City Council that works very well with itself to deliver these goals. This is a cohesive group that works well with one another and tries to do what is in the best interest of all our residents. Working together with my council colleagues I will do my best to make your will public policy in Lyndhurst. If you have any questions, ideas, or comments on any aspect of Lyndhurst city government, please feel free to call me at (440) 446-1955 or email me at gambatesej@lyndhurst-oh.com Thank you again for this opportunity and I look forward to serving you! Sincerely, Joe Gambatese Lane A. Schlessel, Ward 3 and Vice Mayor:
Home: (440) 449-2416Address: 1927 Bromton Drive, Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124 E-Mail: schlessell@lyndhurst-oh.com I am excited and eager to serve as Vice-Mayor for 2011. Profession: For the past 22 years I have been employed by B'nai B'rith/B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO Inc). I am presently serving as the National Director of Program Enrichment, responsible for working with communities throughout North America in the areas of community service and outreach. Family: My wife Marla (Lockman) has been a resident of Lyndhurst for over 35 years (Brush Class of 77) and we have 3 children Ethan Hirsh (Brush Class of 01 and American University 04), Adam Hirsh (Brush Class of 05) and Shawn Schlessel, as well as two dogs Brook and Sandy. Education: Message: During the campaign as I walked door to door, I listened very carefully to what you the residents had to say about our community. Now as your representative to city council I hope to bring your message to the other leaders of our great city. As the founding director of the Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) program, I had a first hand opportunity to work with a group of volunteers that were and are ready, willing and able to assist residents throughout our city. Programs that focus on the neighbors and give to those in need is what Lyndhurst should be about and will be a focus of my term as Ward 3 Councilman. Please don't hesitate to contact me to share your thoughts, concerns and compliments over the next 4 years and together we can make Lyndhurst a great place to live, work, raise children and retire. Patrick A. Ward, Ward 4:
Home: (440) 646-WARD (9273) Address: 5140 Meadow Wood Boulevard, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 E-Mail: wardp@lyndhurst-oh.com Returning to City Council in 2006, after a four year break, Patrick A. Ward is eager to bring his twelve years' experience back to the issues facing Ward 4 and our community. With two new housing projects in the works - Rivercreek and Acacia Country Club Estates as well as the newly completed Bristol Courts, the potential for added development on the former TRW World Headquarters property - now owned by the Cleveland Clinic, the building expansion at Julie Billiart School and the Lincoln Hall expansion at Hawken School there is no shortage of projects to address in the southern quarter of the Ward. Add to that the issues of property maintenance which exist on nearly every street much work lies ahead. Patrick will be chairing City Council's Finance Committee this year and is excited about the prospect of working with the six other members of Council and Mayor Cicero's Administration. "I believe that we have a group of people who are focused across the board on what is best for our city" Ward said. "We certainly have challenges in bringing our expenses in line with our current income, but I know we are all at least looking in the same direction now so the work should be easier." Please feel free to contact Patrick at (440) 646-9273 at home or via e-mail at wardp@lyndhurst-oh.com. Keith C. Packard, Councilman At Large:

While I know that the planets may have aligned themselves to afford me this great opportunity, I know that this is not an easy job. Our City is constantly enduring battles with external and internal forces challenging us every day. I get the opportunity to work with 6 great council members, the Mayor and very strong departments to provide the services and amenities that we enjoy and deserve. We are not only making sure our City survives the issues we face today, but those we anticipate facing in the future. With your help and contributions, we will continue to be "A (Great) Community of Neighbors" now and into the future. Please call or email me anytime with your comments. Throughout the year, you can also find me coaching our youth in basketball at St. Clare or baseball for the Lyndhurst Dad's Club. You may also have seen me as the Executive Director for the Lyndhurst Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). That position led me to a leadership position with the Cuyahoga CERT Association as the organization's first Operations Section Chief. During the St. Clare Fest, I am usually camped out in the kitchen for the entire festival - cooking, not sleeping!! I am also an ordained minister and officiated my first wedding in August 2011 at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland. Hobbies: My family means the world to me. When I'm not busy running around Cuyahoga County, I make sure to spend time with my family. We enjoy camping, and traveling when we can and mostly having a family dinner around the same table.
