Joseph Gambatese, Ward 2:
Home: (440) 446-1955
Address: 1355 Gordon Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124
I would like to thank the residents who represent Ward 2 for re-electing me to my council seat for another four year term. It is an honor and privilege to be able to give back to the community that I love.
I have lived in Lyndhurst for over 35 years and actually live on the same street I grew up on with my wife and daugjhter. My family has been part of our community for 60 years starting with my grandparents Joseph and Mary Compola. My grandfather Joe Compola started Tasty Pizza, a local Mayfield Road business in 1958. Tasty's is now a second-generation family business run by my stepfather and mother Joe and Jackie Woytovich. Politics and government have always been in our family! In fact my grandfather previously served on Lyndhurst City Council for 6 years and he was the person that inspired me to get involved in our community.
I am a graduate of John Carroll University (1986) with a BA in Communications.
During my time on Council it has been apparent that Lyndhurst residents desire high quality, timely, delivered city services and low taxation. I believe my business knowledge and experience will be an added attribute to a City Council that works very well with itself to deliver these goals. This is a cohesive group that works well with one another and tries to do what is in the best interest of all our residents.
Working together with my council colleagues I will do my best to make your will public policy in Lyndhurst even if it can ruffle some feathers.
If you have any questions, ideas, or comments on any aspect of Lyndhurst city government, please feel free to call me at (440) 446-1955 or email me at email@example.com.
Thank you again for this opportunity and I look forward to serving you!
Lane A. Schlessel, Ward 3 and Vice Mayor:
Home: (440) 449-2416
Address: 1927 Bromton Drive, Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124
After 30 years with the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO Inc.), I retired in June 2013. I am presently serving as the Ohio Executive Director of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF). The organization raises awareness and scholarships to support the combat soldiers that protect the land of Israel.
My wife Marla (Lockman) has been a resident of Lyndhurst for over 45 years (Brush Class of 77) and we have 3 children Ethan Hirsh (Brush Class of 01 and American University 04), Adam Hirsh (Brush Class of 05 and Ohio University class of 09) and Shawn Schlessel (Mayfield class of 07 and The Ohio State University class of 12), as well as two dogs Brook and Sandy.
Serving the residents of Lyndhurst for the past 8 years has been a pleasure and an honor. As I enter my third term as Ward 3 Councilman, I look forward to continuing to serve the residents with dedication and a commitment to keep our community a great place to live and raise a family. While we as a council will always keep the needs of our residents a priority, we must also look to the future and plan accordingly. This planning comes with making tough decisions, and I appreciate the support I have received over the past 2 terms in making those hard decisions. I will work hard to protect the services we as residents have come to expect and enjoy.
Please don't hesitate to contact me to share your thoughts, concerns and compliments over the next 4 years and together we can make Lyndhurst a great place to live, work, raise children and retire.
Patrick A. Ward, Ward 4:
Home: (440) 646-9273
Address: 5140 Meadow Wood Boulevard, Lyndhurst, OH 44124
With 20 years of Council service and nearly 30 years being active in our community, Patrick A. Ward has the leadership background and expertise to handle the issues facing Ward 4 and our City.
Patrick will, once again, be chairing City Council's Finance Committee this year and is excited about the prospect of working with his Council colleagues and the City Administration to address the challenges that lie ahead.
"I believe that Council has a majority of individuals who are focused, across the board, on what is best for our City," Ward said.
"Over the past 8 years we have certainly cut costs and changed programs in order to continue to provide our residents with excellent service. The poor economy and State cuts to local funding for our City and our schools have only served to shift more burden onto our shoulders while the needs of our community have grown. We need to continue to focus on what is important to our residents and what serves their needs most effectively."
Please feel free to contact Patrick at (440) 646-9273 at home or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

I welcome your thoughts, advice and input. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.

While our great city faces many ongoing challenges, my focus for this year is to provide leadership for unity between each member of council. Unity, in the sense that each council member will be united in putting the welfare of the residents first. Laying a foundation that facilitates trust, communication, consensus and compromise. When best interests of our residents will govern our decision making, we will be able to reach a solution and accomplish many great things. While we, on council, are known for the words we speak, we also love to listen.
Please call or E-Mail me anytime with your comments.
My wife Lisa and I have resided in Lyndhurst since 1994 and have 4 children; Joseph Jr. (Brush 2006), Robert (2008) Karalyn and Cody along with our Cocker Spaniel/Bichon Chloe.
I am currently employed as a Sale Representative/ Consultant for Moving Solutions, Inc. in Mentor, Ohio. I have attended both the University of Akron and Cleveland State University, earning a BBA and majoring in marketing.
In the past I have served on the Lyndhurst Dadsí Club as well as committees on the PTA for the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools. Currently, I serve as co-chair of the Lyndhurst Homedays Committee, surely one of the most rewarding positions and an event I look forward to every year. Lisa and I also help coordinate the Pre-Cana program at our church, Saint Clare.
When not attending to commitments to my community I also enjoy coaching baseball and cooking. Throughout the months of June and July I travel around the Midwest with my 16 and under Seacrist Blue Thunder baseball team. I will also take time out to relax and enjoy the time at the dinner table with my family. I will put my Chicken Paprikas up against anybodys!

I am honored to be appointed by the Lyndhurst City Council to complete the term of Keith Packard. Our City is constantly enduring battles with external and internal forces challenging us every day. I get the opportunity to work with 6 great council members, the Mayor and very strong departments to provide the services and amenities that we enjoy and deserve. We are not only making sure our City survives the issues we face today, but those we anticipate facing in the future. With your help and contributions, we will continue to be "A (Great) Community of Neighbors" now and into the future. Please call or email me anytime with your comments.
